I'll be honest--the 1950s were a rough time for cycling.

This doesn't look quite right. Has Randall ever seen a bicycle?

If that's too easy, you could try joining Tautology Club, which meets on the date of the Tautology Club meeting.

Biannual = 2x per year
Sesquiannual = 1.5x per year = every 8 months

Isn't 2x per year "semiannual" and biannual once per two years?

They're interchangeable unfortunately

wikipedia...three times in any 2 year period, as against Sesquiennual which is twice in any three year period

"Biennial" is once per two years.

I see the problem. "Biennial" and "Biannual" mean "once per two years" and "twice a year," respectively. Sorry for the confusion. I think I won't join the linguistics club :)

Perhaps you need a crash course in taking hints. Here's your first lesson: We're not actually walking somewhere together; I'm trying to leave this conversation and you're following me.

I've wondered this exact same thing. I feel like one of my computers was haunted, but I've basically concluded that other people won't go through the steps to determine a motherboard is grounded out or a video card is over heating. They will simply throw away or donate the computer.

True story: When I was the lead for the Windows 95 escalation team, one of our engineers had a customer whose computer was inexplicably unstable. After several days of trying to fix this problem, the engineer called up the customer one day and the customer said "Oh, it's fixed."

"I just have to know -- how did you fix it?"

"Well, ever since I moved into this house, I've had problems with bad spirits. Now, when I use the computer, I sprinkle a circle of salt around it and light several candles...I haven't had any problems since!"

I think it's quantum effects. But ghosts is essentially the same thing.

Plus, when someone finally grabs your glasses and stomps on them, it costs way less than $1,500 to replace them.
